CH₄rt 2026 | How we handle your personal data

This Privacy Notice summarises how your personal data is collected and used in connection with the CH₄rt 2026 Competition. It reflects Article 11 of the Competition Rules, which is the authoritative legal version.

Data Controller

Fourtold Belgium SRL ("Fourtold") is the data controller for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") in relation to personal data collected and processed in connection with this competition.

Fourtold shares personal data with Environmental Defense Fund Europe, which acts as data processor on behalf of Fourtold under a Data Processing Agreement, for the purpose of helping to administer and promote the competition.

Personal Data We Collect

Fourtold will collect and process the following personal data from entrants:

  • full name;
  • age and date of birth;
  • country of residence;
  • email address;
  • submitted artwork; and
  • any additional information voluntarily provided in the entry form.

How We Use Your Data

Personal data will be processed for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

Marketing & Third Parties

  • Fourtold will not use your personal data for marketing purposes without obtaining separate, explicit, and freely given consent. Marketing consent is entirely optional and is not a condition of entry.
  • Fourtold will not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your Rights

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • the right of access;
  • the right to rectification;
  • the right to erasure;
  • the right to restriction of processing;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to object; and
  • the right to revoke a given consent.
